The ZBW (ZGS) combined substation (American-style) is suitable for 7.2 kV and 12 kV ring network power supply systems, dual-power supply systems, or terminal power supply systems, serving as a high-voltage distribution metering, compensation, control, and protection device.
In addition to the transformer, the modular substation is equipped on the high-voltage side with four-position load switches, two-position load switches, backup protective fuses, and plug-in fuses. On the low-voltage side, control devices, distribution devices, compensation units, and electric energy meters are installed according to the customer’s requirements. The ZBW (ZGS) modular substation (American-style) can be used both indoors and outdoors and is widely applied in various locations such as industrial parks, residential communities, commercial centers, and high-rise buildings.
Terms of Use
1. Altitude: 1000 m and below;
2. Wind pressure: Not greater than 70 Pa (equivalent to 35 m/s);
3. Humidity: The daily average shall not exceed 90%, and the monthly average shall not exceed 90%.
4. Ambient temperature: Maximum temperature +40℃, minimum temperature -25℃;
5. Seismic resistance level: Horizontal acceleration 0.4 m/s²; Vertical acceleration 0.15 m/s²;
6. Seismic intensity: Grade 8;
7. Installation environment: The surrounding air must not be significantly contaminated by corrosive gases, flammable gases, or water vapor, and the installation location must be free from severe vibrations.
◆Structural Features
The enclosure structure of this product series is divided into two parts: a front section and a rear section. The front section features a high- and low-voltage operating compartment. Inside the high-voltage compartment are the high-voltage terminals, load switch, no-load tap changer, plug-in fuse, pressure relief valve, oil thermometer, oil level gauge, and oil drain valve. The low-voltage compartment houses the low-voltage terminals. The rear section comprises the oil-filling tank and cooling fins; the transformer windings, iron core, high-voltage load switch, and protective fuses are all located within the oil tank.
Performance characteristics
1. Small in size and compact in structure—only about one-third the size of domestically produced box-type substations with the same capacity.
2. Fully sealed and fully insulated, eliminating the need for insulation clearance and reliably ensuring personal safety;
3. It can be used both in ring networks and as a terminal unit, with extremely convenient switching, thereby enhancing the reliability of power supply.
4. Low losses, lower than those of the domestic S9-type transformer;
5. The cable connector can handle a load current of 200A and, in emergency situations, can be operated as a load switch while also possessing the characteristics of an isolating switch.
6. Dual-fuse protection is adopted, reducing operating costs. The insert-type fuse element is a bimetallic fuse (sensitive to both temperature and current).
7. It adopts a △Y connection and a three-phase five-column structure. Its advantages include high voltage quality, stable neutral point without drift, no heating of the enclosure, low noise, and excellent lightning protection.
Transformer
The intelligent integrated substation uses low-loss, oil-immersed, fully sealed transformers of the S9, S10, and S11 series. Alternatively, environmentally friendly dry-type transformers with resin insulation or NOMEX paper insulation can also be selected. The transformers can be conveniently loaded and unloaded thanks to the presence of a trolley at the base.
Transformer Technical Parameter Table
The new S9 series transformer core is selected, featuring low losses, excellent overload capacity, and strong short-circuit resistance. All fasteners are treated with anti-loosening measures, eliminating the need to lift the core. Alternatively, the higher-performance S10 and S11 series transformers can also be chosen.
